My Squash victory!

Wohoo I won today 3 games to 2! And what a game it was. Only my 3rd squash victory since I played interclub.

A guy who has a belly thrice the size of mine and is probably twice my age played was my opponent. The thing is guys like this usually are the hardest to beat at my level. They shove and move and aim to get a stroke or a let, which is exactly what he did and frustrated the hell out of me. It didn't help that his team mate was the referee and that he stopped for like 10-20 seconds between every point to catch his breath!!

But not like the previous times, this time I maintained my composure and played my game. I think for me its all about the mental edge, I think my skills are good enough (for an E1 grade , which is pretty low ahm ahm) but I just need to relax and keep my game style.

Now I just need to go to Egypt and learn squash from the masters aaahhh.

On a completely different note, how weird is it to know someone who you assume are a party animal and turn out to be a genius? I just found out this guy in my squash team has like a solid 9 GPA (out of 9), that is insane and you would never expect that meeting him. Good on him though, that is excellent.

Summer Body

I have been working out quite a bit over the summer break in order to achieve the "summer body" that I kept telling my friends about. By the end of uni last year I felt I was that I was in the worse physical condition of my whole life and people even started to comment on my weight!! I had gained about 6 extra kgs but the worse part all the extra fat instead of whatever slight muscles I had ( I wasn't toned by any means but wasn't a fluff bag either)

So by the end of summer break lets see the results, I managed to get from 86-87 to about 83.5kgs, not bad but still not close to my goal of 80kgs.
I can now lift the weights I used to be able to lift before the great depression era, actually even higher then that (except for legs agh), but still no cuts in my arms like before. I think my fitness has improved a bit as I can run at a higher pace for longer time.

The big problem is... UNI STARTED...there is no way I can afford to work out for 2 hours everyday now, but I promised myself to keep a schedule so here it is:
Monday & Tuesday:
squash
Wednesday:
chest + playing indoor soccer
Thursday:
shoulders + back + cardio
Friday:
Futsal + biceps
Saturday:
triceps + abs
Sunday:
KO extreme + streching

After the first uni day today and the anticipated workload,i am not sure I can keep up, but the ones I cannot afford to sacrifice are the chest, biceps and triceps exercises. Lets see hmm

Bloody Avocados!

So since I've been trying to maintain a healthy diet I thought of a good old snack to eat instead of what I usually eat (chocolate, chocolate musli bars, chocolate-something.. you get the drift) so I was like, why not avocados they taste alright, and it can't be bad can it!?

The first week or so I was eating avocados whenever I felt like a snack and then it occurred to me to check the calorific values, I was in for a shock... 33 bloody percent fat... wohaa! That is just terrible!!! I cannot stop eating them completely obviously (imagine sushi with no avocados, that just won't work) but no way am gonna eat them as a snack from now on!

On a brighter note, I have been sticking to my extensive training programme ahm ahm. Exercising everyday and lifting weights for all body parts once a week (except legs).. good good
