Thats homeland for you non-Persian speakers hahhaha.
So ya i finally visit Iran after almost 9 years and dude did it change. It's not the Iran i knew when i left it.
Sheesh where can i start? The younger generation is not islamic at all. The girls put more makeup then any girls i have seen in my life, everyone does rhinoplasty on their noses even guys. Guys have ponytails all around the place. I found necklaces with the cross in almost every store that sells those stuff. Gat Daym.

You might think i am over-reacting to those things which might be normal in your place but its Iran, the country that apparently obeys the Islamic(Shii'a) rule by the book, a coutnry that on my last visit had moral police to enforce the Islamic law.. but i guess it changed.

The funny thing the whole Shii'a thing is stronger then ever, i happened to be in Iran during the early days of Muharam(read up about that if you're intrested in the significance of that) and in evrey corner(yes EVERY CORNER) there is a Hussainiyah pavilion to mourn Hussain bin Ali. And they still go to tombs and pray and such, not only their Imams tombs but also poets tombs like Hafez and Sa'di.

In my opinion the goverment can not control the people any more and the whole Shii'a thing is some sort of a way to distract the people from the corruption in the goverment. And the younger generation is distracted with what they have to wear when they go out on the streets or what sort of nose they want when they do their rhinoplasty.. sheesh. But actually i am pretty confident that a revolution is inevitable.

Anyway this was all in Shiraz, i can't wait to see Tehran myself but that won't be anytime soon sadly.
